A little about the Excalibur SSB cb radio:

As you can see, the Excalibur SSB base station not only talks the talk, but also has the looks of a tough radio!  You can definantely see the resemblance between the Excalibur SSB and the Galaxy/Ranger base stations!  Pretty much looks the same in many aspects including the front firing speaker gril and the rack mount with handles.  With it's massive industrial design, it's no wonder why Galaxy wanted to mimick/retain these cosmetic designs to some degree.

The Excalibur SSB also ran under the Marko Excalibur in some of the export markets.  The radio was in a league of it's own with AM/FM/SSB/CW multi mode transceiver.  Roger Beep, RF Power, Dual Meters, RF Gain, AF Gain, Mic Gain, you name it!  Although Galaxy's have a similar look, but as a big black radio, I like the shiny silver look finish of the Excalibur SSB and Marko radios much better!

One feature on the Excalibur SSB base station that I really liked was that fact it "2" antenna jacks.  It has an Antenna "A" and a Antenna "B" so-239 connectors, so you can switch between different antennas in a heartbeat!  Nice feature, as I hate using an external antenna selector and running all those extra coax jumpers!
