The Midland 75-822 is a both a mobile and a handheld combo. As you can see by our product photo, it's literally designed to be operated as either a mobile or you can take it with you and operate it as a portable handheld on batteries! When you slide off the Midland 75-822 battery compartment (on the bottom) and slide on the mobile accessory bracket in it's place, you can both connect regular coax with a standard PL-259 connector just like any regular mobile cb radio would entail. In addition to a SO-239 connector, there is also a standard 12 volt cigarette adapter ready for you to simply plug in you car!! Once you've parked where you need to go, or are ready for the next hunting or camping trip, simply slide the mobile accessory bracket off and slide on the battery pack and the portable antenna!
